ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PSYCHOLOGY (Social and International Studies) 08-241

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY                                                                                                                              

The Social and International Studies Department at Southern Polytechnic State University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in Psychology beginning August 11, 2008.  Other ranks will be considered.  SPSU (www.spsu.edu) is a member institution in the University System of Georgia, located 20 minutes northwest of downtown Atlanta, in the historic city of Marietta.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications required are a Ph. D. in Psychology.  The successful applicant must be able to teach Cognitive Psychology (at the undergraduate and graduate level) or Human Factors.  The ability to teach Experimental Psychology is a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with college-level teaching experience and the ability to teach introductory level courses in a second social science discipline.  The ability to develop and offer web-based courses and to teach an introductory-level quantitative research course is desirable.

 

 

 

SALARY:       Commensurate with experience
