POSITION SUMMARY

The Industrial Engineering Technology department at Southern Polytechnic State University, Marietta, Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Industrial Engineering Technology or Systems Engineering.  Other ranks will be considered.  SPSU is a member institution in the University System of Georgia, located 20 minutes northwest of downtown Atlanta, in the historic city of Marietta.  The I.E.T. Department offers the B.S. in Industrial Engineering Technology and the M.S. in Quality Assurance and in Systems Engineering.  For additional information, please visit http: iet.spsu.edu/.

QUALIFICATIONS

A master’s degree is required. A PhD is preferred in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a closely related field. Additionally, preference will be given to applicants with five or more years of related industry experience. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, advise students, serve on faculty related committees and assist in the growth of the department.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience
