ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

POSITION SUMMARY

The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level (other ranks considered) in Software Engineering.  Candidates with substantial industry experience and interest in areas such as Software Design and Architecture, Software Processes, Software Project Management, and Embedded Software Development are sought to teach both face-to-face and online.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in a computing discipline.  The department seeks a candidate with a background and interest in the above-mentioned areas, as demonstrated by published work, teaching experience, and/or a portfolio of large-scale software development.  The successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in software engineering and related areas, conduct research, and mentor students in our graduate and undergraduate programs in computing. The position is for a 9-month, tenure-track appointment.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience
