BUSINESS SERVICES COORDINATOR (Housing and Residence Life) 09–401

This is a non-exempt position that is responsible for performing accounting functions, financial management, collections, processing entries into various on-campus resident accounts and assisting the Director in budget control. The Business Services Coordinator reports to the Housing Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Ensure that students have been properly billed for housing charges on a monthly and semester basis.
2. Actively collect delinquent student accounts and assess fees.
3. Track the deposits and refunds.
4. Process billing for meal plan requests for on-campus residents.
5. Monitor and track the utility overages for the on-campus apartments.
6. Process and track budget payments for departmental expenditures.
7. Maintains accounts payable roster and petty cash.
8. Maintains file folder for all accounts payable documentation.
9. Maintains list of all monies received for housing payments, application fees, reservation fees, and security deposits.
10. Provides information to staff, students, and individual or organizations pertaining to account transactions; resolves accounting issues and discrepancies.
11. Process invoices and payment requests.
12. Facilitates the housing collections policy and procedure process and eviction process.
13. Able to understand and effectively communicate the terms of the housing contract.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

7. Outstanding organizational skills.
8. Ability to work independently with self initiative.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years of comparable work related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
DAYS/HOURS: Hours may vary. The candidate would work 30 hours per week.
SALARY: $28,545
