POSITION SUMMARY

                                                                                                                                                                       

The Social and International Studies Department at Southern Polytechnic State University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor Position (other ranks considered) in Psychology. The position has a starting date of August 16, 2010.  SPSU is a member institution in the University System of Georgia, located 20 minutes northwest of downtown Atlanta, in the historic city of Marietta.  Please visit our website at www.spsu.edu.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

 

Candidates must have a Ph. D. in Psychology.  The successful applicant must be able to teach Psychological Testing and Abnormal Psychology.  The ability to teach Developmental Psychology is a plus. Additionally, the applicant must demonstrate the ability to develop an undergraduate practicum/internship program for the major.  Preference will be given to candidates with college-level teaching experience and the ability to teach introductory level courses in a second social science discipline.  The ability to develop and offer web-based courses is desirable.                                                   

 

SALARY:      Commensurate with experience
