ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF FINANCE (Business Administration) 09-388
POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Administration at Southern Polytechnic State University, Marietta, Georgia (www.spsu.edu) invites applications for a full-time Professor position in Economics at the assistant professor level (other ranks considered) to begin August 2010. The University is one of the fastest growing in the University System of Georgia. The position involves teaching economics courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, conducting research leading to refereed publications, advising students, recruitment and retention activities, and university and community service.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess an earned doctorate degree in an finance-related field. Preference will be given to candidates from AACSB or ACBSP accredited schools. ABD within one year of completion may also be considered. Teaching and/or applied experience preferred. A commitment to excellence in teaching, applied research activities resulting in peer-reviewed publications, and experience in developing instructional materials, including alternative delivery methods.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience
