Tara Adams
Assistant Director of Housing Operations
My name is Tara Adams and I'm the Assistant Director of Housing Operations for the Department of Housing and Residence Life here at Southern Polytechnic State University. I'm originally from Virginia, and I have over 12-years of housing experience, in which 6-years has been in student housing. I've been at SPSU for 5-years now as a live-in Staff Member and I really enjoy the daily interactions with the students in the dining hall, athletic games, and housing programming events. I believe that living on campus offers great options and convenience to help our students get the most out of their college experience. Whether they live in the residence hall, suites, or apartments, living in on-campus housing is a smart choice and will allow students to enjoy the supportive environment that will help them succeed.
Jenny Brown
Assistant Director of Residence Life
My name is Jenny Brown. I started working at SPSU in the fall of 2008. Currently, I serve as the Residence Life Coordinator, where I collaborate with the coordinators of each area to insure that our residents are receiving the best possible experience while living on campus with us. As a native of Cobb County, I attended Kennesaw State University, where I graduated with a degree in Political Science. I also have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. It was at KSU that I first started working in Residence Life. This fall, I began working with the Executive Board for Georgia Housing Officers (GHO), as the webmaster, and I work with Georgia College Personnel Association (GCPA), as the assessment chair. I live on campus with my husband and our dog, Molly. My husband and I recently became certified scuba divers and love diving in new places. When not at work, I enjoy hiking, biking, cooking, and traveling.
Chris Bruno
Director of Housing and Residence Life
My name is Chris Bruno and I serve as the Director of Housing & Residence Life at
Southern Poly. I am an Atlanta native but spent the past 12 years getting my education
and work experience elsewhere. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries & Wildlife
Biology and my Master’s in Counselor Education at Clemson University in Clemson, SC
(Go Tigers!). After Clemson, I worked at the University of Alabama in Huntsville for
5 years in various capacities within Housing. At SPSU I am responsible for the daily
operations of both Housing & Residence Life. I am lucky to have such an energetic,
motivated staff to work with. In my free time I enjoy photography, listening to music,
playing sports and reading. Please don’t hesitate to come by the office and stop by
for a visit if you’re in the area!
Larry Cloud
Residence Life Coordinator for Upperclass & Greek Housing
My name is Larry Cloud and I am the First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) Coordinator. My main responsibilities are coordinating the RA's in Howell Hall and handling any issues that may occur in Howell. I also am in charge of overseeing our FYRE program that focuses on creating events and programs for our first year students in all communities. I graduated with a Bachelors in Science in Political Science from Georgia Southern University (Go Eagles)and a M.Ed in College Student Affairs from UGA (Go Dawgs). I am happily married to my wonderful wife Jessica and absolutely love my dog Miley. I enjoy sports, video games, and am always willing to sit and talk with anybody.
Amasett Economy
Residence Life Coordinator for First-Year Housing

My name is Amasett Economy and I’m one of the Resident Life
Coordinators. My main responsibilities are coordinating the First Year
Residential Experience (FYRE) which is geared towards building community through programs
and events that are meant to foster growth and development for first year students.
I also coordinate the R.A.’s in
Howell Hall and Hornet Village 200 while also handling any issues that
occur in either of the buildings. I graduated from Coe College (in Iowa)
with a double major in Art and Public Relations and a M.Ed in College
Student Personnel from Ohio University. Some of my favorite things:
photography, art, tea, baking and spending time with my partner Chris,
our dog baby, and cat buddy. If you are near the Residence Life office

Hello! My name is Anjli Patel, and I am the Graduate Assistant for our Apartment community here at SPSU. I am currently pursuing Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. My favorite activity to do in my spare time is play sports! I also enjoy being outdoors, painting, and spending time with friends and family!
Yenawa Robinson

My name is Yenawa Robinson. I am originally from Maryland and have lived in the Atlanta
metro area for four years. I currently attend Kennesaw State University where I am
finishing a degree in Psychology with a concentration in Criminology. I am currently
the Business Services Coordinator for Housing and Residence Life at SPSU. I am responsible
for performing accounting functions, financial management, collections, processing
entries into various on-campus resident accounts and assisting the Director in budget
control. I also ensure that students have been properly billed for housing charges
on a monthly and semester basis. I enjoy painting, writing (poetry), and dancing to
various kinds of music during my leisure time.
