Why do I need a HornetCard?

The HornetCard is your official Southern Polytechnic State University identification card. The HornetCard is also your library card, allows you access into campus facilitates and events, has your meal plan and HornetBucks on it.

Where can I get my HornetCard?

You must bring a valid government ID to the office of Campus Services, located on the 2nd Floor of the Joe Mack Wilson Student Center. HornetCards will be issued to all current registered students and to Faculty, Staff, and affiliates of Southern Polytechnic State University.

Where can I use my HornetCard?

HornetCards can used where you see the “HornetCards Accepted Here” Signs. For example, the Bookstore, Dining Locations, Vending Machines, and Pay for Print.

Do I have to pay for my HornetCard?

The first HornetCard is free of charge. Subsequent cards issued
to the same card holder will be considered a replacement card
and will incur a $25 fee.

How do I get a replacement HornetCard?

To get a replacement ID card, bring a valid government ID to
the office of Campus Services. A $25.00 fee will be due at the time of
replacement. Please do not punch holes, bend, scratch, or in any way damage the ID card. There will be a $25.00 fee to replace the ID.

Do I have to pay a replacement fee if my name changed?

A request for name change resulting in the issuance of a replacement card will not be charged the $25.00 fee.
