What advice would you give to new students?
Get involved in something on campus.
If you don't get involved then college is going to be very boring if
all you do is go to class and go home. Getting involved in a fraternity
or a sorority is a good way to make new friends and to have a lot of
fun.
What has been your best
SPSU
extra-curricular activity?
I would say that my best
extra-curricular activity would be joining Sigma Nu. Sigma Nu has
taught me a lot about leadership and it has given me some awesome
friends and brothers.
What has been your coolest
SPSU experience
so far?
Rush is a lot of fun every semester
because it is always interesting to see what new ideas that people have
come up with to get people to come out and have fun.
Why did you choose SPSU?
I came to SPSU to major in
architecture, but that didn't last.
Why did you
choose your major?
Well after I dropped out of
architecture I knew that I wanted a more technical type degree. So I
started talking to some of the older students that I knew around campus
and they recommended Construction Engineering. After I took the intro
course I knew that was where I needed to be.
What has
been your favorite class?
My favorite class and professor are
tied together. My favorite class so far has been Construction
Measurements with John Lee. You can tell that Professor Lee really knew
what he was talking about as he was teaching the class because it was
something that he had done everyday to make a living. The class was fun
because we got to go outside and learn how to operate different
surveying equipment and block traffic while wearing our orange safety
vests and fun stuff like that.
