Housing
Perhaps one of the best ways to make yourself at home at SPSU is to make it your home by living
on campus. On-campus students are at the center of campus life, from academics to social
activities to sporting events. And where else can you oversleep and still make it to class on
time?
The on-campus advantage
All first-year students who decide to live on campus participate in the First-Year
Residential Experience (FYRE), a program designed to ease first-year students into college life
by offering a variety of educational, recreational, and social activities. You will not only
learn how to live with other students your age, but also learn to manage your time wisely, budget
your money, and handle greater responsibility. You'll also develop a network of close friends who
are literally there for you 24 hours a day.
Housing options
We offer several housing choices, depending on where you are in your educational
career. All first-year students live in the Roger S. Howell building in double
occupancy rooms. Upper-class students can choose to live in the William E.
Norton building in double occupancy rooms or in our on-campus apartment housing.
A brand new phase of apartments is NOW OPEN to students as of Fall 2004.
All facilities are fully wired with Ethernet
connections, private phone lines, and cable, and include desks, beds, wardrobes, and wall-to-wall
carpet. Click here
