How can a high school student get ahead?

Southern Polytechnic State University welcomes students who have pursued accelerated academic course work while in high school or through recognized national standardized programs. Such programs include College Board's Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and College Level Examination Program (CLEP).

Advanced placement
Students may receive college credit for courses taken in high school based on their scores on the Advanced Placement Exam. To receive college credit, students must score as follows:

*In order to receive credit for HIST 2111, HIST 2112, or POLS 1101 and satisfy the constitution requirement for graduation, the student must also complete HIST 2911 with a grade of "C" or better.

CLEP exam
Students may receive college credit for certain courses based on scores on the College Level Examination Program. To receive college credit, students must score as follows:

Students may receive college credit for courses taken in high school based on their scores on the International Baccalaureate Exam. To receive college credit, students must score as follows:
