The Management Department Why study Management at SPSU? A combination of excellent teaching in the classroom and other relevant educational experiences makes the Management program at Southern Polytechnic ideal for students who wish to enhance their understanding of the current and developing needs of technology-oriented enterprise. The program supplies students with the theoretical knowledge, analytical techniques, and interpersonal skills necessary for increasingly responsible positions in the professional realm. About the program The Management Department offers courses of instruction leading to the Master of Business Administration degree, the Bachelor of Science degree in Management, or the Bachelor of Arts degree in International Management. In addition, the Bachelor of Applied Science is available to graduates of accredited DTAE institutions who hold associate degrees in business. The faculty In an atmosphere where open communication and free exchange of ideas flourishes, students and faculty alike prosper. Our students are encouraged to explore the theories of business and management, and their personal academic and professional interests are supported by a group of faculty who possess excellent academic credentials and impressive professional management and business backgrounds. This learning environment fosters well-educated, thoughtful students who are in high demand in business and industry. Are there learning opportunities outside the classroom? Management students participate in several extracurricular organizations, including the Technical Management Society and the Southern Polytechnic chapter of the Delta Mu Delta business honorary society. As always, students are encouraged to intern and co-op with Atlanta-based companies as part of their educational experience. What can I do with a Management degree? The possibilities are endless with a Management degree. Since our students take a variety of classes covering economics, accounting, and marketing, they are fully prepared for many types of jobs. Whether they want to work as managers, marketing professionals, or in technology, they have a strong understand of what it takes to be successful in the business world. Will I find employment?
