The Biology program Why Biology at SPSU? Over the past two decades, medical and technological advancements have revolutionized the field of biology. Scientists who before were limited to analyzing problems descriptively can now analyze at the molecular level. It's exciting work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. And at SPSU, we are on the front end of this new scientific frontier, focusing on breakthroughs in molecular biology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics. About the program Southern Polytechnic provides students with a modern program that focuses on molecular biology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics within the context of biotechnology. Numerous research opportunities are available to students, as are excellent facilities and plenty of hands-on experiments. Our program leads to the Bachelor of Science degree.
