SPSU Housing Residents - Severe Weater
In preparedness for the possibility of severe weather in our area including but not limited to severe thunder storms and tornados, we ask all of our residents to participate in preparing the community when weather conditions are favorable for these conditions.
*Please remove all items from your patio areas, breezeways, walkways, and doors. Items could be come hazards if left out during strong winds.
*Flashlights and battery-operated radios are good to have on hand.
Stay tuned to WSB AM 750 for the latest advisories, warnings and special instructions. REMEMBER: a tornado WATCH means that tornadoes are favorable for the weather conditions we are encountering in the area. A tornado WARNING means a tornado has been spotted.
*If a tornado should occur, take cover in an interior hallway or room on the lowest level of the building. The safest place is the center of the building in a small room such as a closet or bathroom. Stay clear of windows.
Thank you for your prompt attention to these items.
