Academic resources

There are many academic resources available to students at SPSU, among them:

The Center for Teaching Excellence provides a resource for faculty and staff to explore various methods for improving teaching and learning on campus. The center also strives to promote and encourage the scholarship of teaching.

The ATTIC provides academic assistance to students who need help with papers, essays, and other writing assignments.

The bookstore, located on the lower level of the Student Center, sells textbooks, software, reference books, school supplies, calculators, and personal items.

Lawrence V. Johnson Library holds more than 110,000 catalogued volumes, 1,500 periodicals and serial titles, microforms, U.S. geological survey maps for the state of Georgia, and circulating reserve collections of texts and tests. SPSU students can use GALILEO, a system that provides them access to all college and university libraries throughout the state.

First Year Composition Program -- designed to equip students with the reading, writing, and thinking skills they'll need in college and in their future careers.
