About Adobe PDF
PDF stands for Portable Document Format, a format developed by Adobe to trade documents between different kinds of computers and printers and to transmit documents over the Internet. Documents saved as PDFs are usually smaller in file size than the originals and can retain the original typefaces, colors, and images.
To view and print PDFs, you need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software installed for your particular computer.
NOTE: Some PDFs are fillable-forms (rather than static print pages). These documents will require the latest version of the Acrobat Reader (Reader version 6 or 7, or later) to function properly.
The installer can be downloaded from Adobe. Simply click on the link to the Adobe web site that we have provided. When you reach Adobe's Welcome screen, click on Get Acrobat Reader -- free. Then follow Adobe's easy instructions for installation.
