Statement about commitment to sustainability

My participation in the Sustainability Steering Committee is to be a voice for the Latino community. I am  specifically concerned that the decisions taken not have a negative impact on the standard of living of the Latino community. Furthermore, I think this Task Force might provide an opportunity to reach out to the Latino community.  For example, the electric car project (purchasing a car, gutting it, and refitting it with an electrical operating system) could be done on one of the local Latino taxis.  This would bring attention to that community of the existence (and benevolence?) of SPSU.
