1/31/2011   SPSU's game jam event is featured on DEFCON:AWESOME and Marietta Patch.
1/28-30/2011   SPSU hosts the first state-wide game jam in Georgia as part of the Global Game Jam 2011.  With 124 officially-registered participants, the Georgia SPSU site was the 2nd largest in the US and the 8th largest in the world.  You can see a video of the jam on youtube.

2010

10/18/2010   SPSU's CGDD Program was one of only 20 first-round finalist in the Unity Great Education Giveaway and will submit a round-two proposal on incorporating Unity and the Google Nexus One technologies into our CGDD program
10/3/2010   Team Hornets wins the Game Design Improv competition at SIEGE 2010; team members were Billy Olden, Will Moore, Carter Maddux, and Nick Mowry
