Other than technical training, the most important tools you need to succeed in your career are writing and speaking skills. Now you can refine these skills by taking advanced communication or writing courses at SPSU.
We offer two minors:
After taking TCOM 2010—Technical Writing, take only 12 more hours, 9 of which must be at the 3000 or 4000 level, to receive a Minor in Technical Communication. Your minor credential will be designated on your SPSU transcript provided you earn a C or better in each course. Choose your courses from:
After taking COMM 2000, Business Communication, take only 12 more hours, 9 of which must be at the 3000 or 4000 level, to receive a Minor in Professional Writing. Not interested in a minor? You can also take our courses as part of your electives, too. Either way, you'll have great writing and communication skills. Our small classes, enthusiastic instructors, and varied courses will make this program a definite asset in your professional future.
