Purpose

These rules are published for your information and to minimize the likelihood of any employee, through misunderstanding or otherwise, becoming subject to any disciplinary action. Violation of any university rule cannot be ignored. It is only fair that you should be familiar with those rules which the university considers to be of great importance as well as those that are considered less important.
