All regular employees of the university are eligible for retirement income provided the employee meets the length of service, income and age requirements:
Teachers Retirement System of Georgia - Beginning July 1, 1978, all regular administrative and professional employees, clerical, technical, skilled trade, and maintenance employees who work one-half time or more are required to participate in membership with the Teachers Retirement System of Georgia as a condition of employment. Membership requires an employee contribution based upon his or her regular salary. The State of Georgia provides a matching contribution. The matching contribution changes from time to time.
