M.S.Engineering Technology – Electrical Degree Requirements

Project-Based Program

Select a minimum of 34 credit hours of courses including:

  • At least 22 credit hours must be graduate-level ECETcourses.
  • One of the ECET courses must be ECET 6704: ProjectProposal (4 credit hours).
  • One of the ECET courses must be ECET 7704: Project (4 credithours).
  • Up to two courses and a maximum of 8 credit hours can befree electives. These courses must be at the graduate leveland may be from any department, with the exception that one 4000-level mathematics course can be used as a free elective. Transfer credit for a 4000-level mathematics freeelective is not accepted. Advisor consent is required for your selection of free electives.

Research-Based Program

Select a minimum of 34 credit hours of courses including:

  • At least 26 credit hours must be graduate-level ECETcourses.
  • One of the ECET courses must be ECET 7504: Research (4 credit hours).
  • Up to two courses and a maximum of 8 credit hours can be free electives. These courses must be at the graduate level and may be from any department, with the exception that one 4000-level mathematics course can be used as a free elective. Transfer credit for a 4000-level mathematics freeelective is not accepted. Advisor consent is required for your selection of free electives.

A grade of "C" or better is required for each course within thestudent's graduate program and it is required that each student maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher in order to graduate.

In all graduate programs, a minimum of a 3.0 G.P.A. is required.No grades below 'C' may be applied to a graduate program's requirements, and a maximum of 2 'C' grades at the level of 6000 or above may be applied to a graduate program's requirements.
