All's Well that Ends!

Final grades have been entered into BANNER and should have been visible to you yesterday. (I can't tell from my account when your grades are released.) Of 21 undergraduate students who took the final exam, fourteen of you, two thirds of the class, earned course grades of A or B. Congratulations, and thank you for making this an easy class to teach. As I expected, completing all the homework was very highly correlated with earning a good grade.

You had an opportunity to supply feedback to the University on the SIR II report. Don't forget that you can also supply feedback at http://www.ratingsonline.com/index.phtml and http://www.ratemyprofessors.com/. The first site allows for a bit more detail. If you choose to do either of these, please make an effort to inform your colleagues rather than just plugging in numbers.

Possible Job Opportunity

Possible Job Opportunity: I have received the following email, edited slightly for brevity: I am an owner of a local graphic design / marketing firm and we are expanding our web development staff. We are very interested in interviewing students who are interested in being a challenge and would like to work in a small studio environment.

We currently need to fill a position rather quickly, however we are also growing and need to increase our staffing over the course of the next few years.

If you are interested in following up on this, send your resume directly to Ms. Amanda Sutt, asutt (at) 123shoot.com. Their Web site is http://www.123shoot.com.

About On-Time Attendance

It is discourteous to your classmates to come into the classroom after the scheduled start time of class. They are presumably in class to listen, not to be interrupted by people who are habitually late.

So, you should be in class on time or expect that I will find suitable negative consequences if you are habitually late.

Copy your XML file a second time to a8p2.xml and link your XSL style sheet to it as shown in the example at the bottom of p. 333. The link from your index page should be to a8p2.xml.
