This course examines the various aspects of computing and the computing disciplines in today's world. The students will become familiar with topics such as computer software, hardware, algorithms, and number systems. They will also be exposed to what is expected in the fields of computing and the types of job opportunities that are available, as well as the facilities and curriculum offered within the School of Computing and Software Engineering. Institutional credit only. Both written homework and hands-on projects will be required.
