Georgia Career Information Center
The Georgia Career Information Center (GCIC), through its Georgia Career Information System (GCIS), provides Georgians with easy access to the most comprehensive, current, and accurate state and national occupational and educational information available in the state.
The computer-based system contains self- assessment, exploration, and search strategies as well as a vast amount of occupational and educational information. As the state career information system, GCIS is Georgia's central source for current career information.
To gain access to the GCIC, you will need both a SPSU User ID and Password.
To obtain the SPSU User ID and Password for your 1st login, stop by the Career and Counseling Center with your student id/proof of being a SPSU student or send an email to GCIC@spsu.edu from your SPSU email account.
To go to the GCIC website, click here.
After you have logged on to the GCIC system, you will need to establish your personal portfolio. On the upper right side of the web page, you will see "Create My Portfolio." Click on this link and follow the directions so you will have your own personal account in the GCIC system.
Setting up your personal portfolio allows you to save results from any assessments, searches, occupation explorations, basically anything within the system. Each item that can be saved has a text box available to write comments for future use.
