The Construction Management department was a recent recipient of a generous $10,000 gift from the Grainger Community Grant Program, presented by Karl Pfankuch, Grainger branch manager and Douglas Bennett, Grainger sales manager in Marietta. The money will be used to provide scholarships for students within the construction management major and facility management concentration to help meet the demand for skilled workers in those fast-growing fields. Grainger is a national chain that provides a range of products related to building and industrial construction and facilities management. They are a proud member of Marietta’s vibrant community and play an important role in supporting SPSU’s Construction Management program and its students. In 2007 the company provided a similar grant to the department. For more information about Grainger’s community involvement please visit www.grainger.com/community.
