We have two management degree programs and a minor. The undergraduate degree is a four-year Bachelor of Science in Construction. The graduate degree is a Master of Science in Construction. The minor consists of a cross-section of CNST courses for NON-Majors. Courses are offered in the day and evening in the undergraduate program and in the evening and on weekends in the graduate program. We also provide three areas of specialization; Construction Management, Land Development, and MEP. STUDENTS Our students are highly motivated non-traditional (translated "older") students with a wealth of experience. Most work at least part-time while they are in school. Most are from the Atlanta area but we have Asian/Pacific, Latin American, African, European, and Caribbean representation. MISSION Prepare students for professional construction leadership positions with a sense of ethical and environmental responsibility and also for advanced degree programs. Encourage CM faculty to be well informed and conversant with current industry issues. Position the size and offerings of the program to serve the changing needs of the construction industry and an expanding national and international student population. Be a positive force in the local and national construction industry through collaboration with other institutions and participation in professional and community organizations. Add to the body of construction management knowledge through scholarly research and publications. Support the strategic and academic direction of Southern Polytechnic State University.
