Technical and Professional Communication (Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Degrees Offered)

The Bachelor's program in Technical and Professional Communication is designed to prepare students for a variety of communication careers. Possible positions include documentation and manual writer, technical editor, media specialist, proposal writer, graphics specialist, and communication training specialist. The program also can serve as a pre-professional background for students who plan to attend graduate school.

Students pursuing the degree must complete (1) the Core Curriculum, (2) required upper division courses in technical and professional communication, (3) either a broad or in-depth group of technology courses, (4) Arts and Sciences courses, especially those in science, technology, and society and in information and research, and (5) free electives.
