What types of career services are provided by the Career and Counseling Center?
We are unable to offer one-on-one counseling sessions after students graduate. However, we do offer the following services for our Alumni:

Resume Critiques
If you would like to have your resume reviewed, you may attend one of our Resume Critique Days which are offered two (2) times a year. Please go to our Upcoming Events page to see the schedule. You can also send it to us via email at careerservices@spsu.edu. Please allow 72 hours for us to respond.
SPSU Career Fairs
Yes, all SPSU Alumni may attend career fairs here on our campus. Typically SPSU’s career fairs are held in October and February of each academic year. The schedule for these events can be found on our “Upcoming Events” page.
Alumni may also attend the GACE C-2-C Career Fair that occurs every April and the Careers Opportunities Career Fair that occurs each November at the Cobb Galleria. Visit their website for any restrictions.

Career Networking Options
I need to expand my career network. Do you have any suggestions? Take a look at SPSU’s “Professional Associations” page to see what groups are there in your career field. Keep in mind that approximately 75% of all jobs are gotten through networking.
Also the Technology Association of Georgia is an excellent group for networking and learning about up and coming issues and topics in your field as well.

Also, we highly recommend the book “What Color is your Parachute?” by Richard Bolles, ISBN: 1580089879. It can be found at most bookstores. In the back there is a directory of Career Coaches by state.
