Camp Schedule

Typical Day Camp Schedule:

7:30-8:00.............Camper Drop-Off/Breakfast

8:30-9:30..........Games Outside

9:30-11:00........Curriculum Session 1

11:00-12:00......Lunch

12:00-12:45......Free Play

12:45-2:15........Curriculum Session 2

2:15-4:30..........Specials (Music, Art, Technology)

4:30-5:30..........Movies/Crafts/Camper Pick-Up

Each Friday is considered a “Friday Fun Day” and does not include curriculum sessions.

 

2015 Weekly Schedule:


 
Week 1A:   Electricity/Magnetism  - 
                   June 8-12
                                   It's Electric! Students will learn the "ins and outs" of electricity,
                                   circuits, electromagnets, and its connection to  magnetism.
 
Week 1C:   Electricity/Magnetism  Computer Based Camp (3rd-5th grades only)-  
                   June 8-12
                                   It's Electric! Students will learn the "ins and outs" of electricity,
                                   circuits, electromagnets, and its connection to magnetism.
 
                                  Microsoft Office and the concepts of Science:
                                 Electricity/Magnetism Welcome students in grades 3-5!
 
 
                                 How would you like to explore the concepts of Microsoft Office
                                 and Electricity/Magnetism? This class will offer the opportunity
                                 for hands on learning and self-discovery by navigating through
                                different web quests and integrating skills and knowledge with
                                multiple Microsoft Office Programs. You will be able to learn
                                some of the in’s and out’s of Microsoft Publisher, Word, and Excel.                                          
                               You will also have the opportunity to create and publish documents
                               to demonstrate what  you have learned. We will blend Science and
                               Technology and emphasize a variety of skills for you to learn and use
                               in all your classes.
 
 
Week 2A:   Heat/Light/Sound  - 
                   June 15-19
                                   Energy All Around Us: Heat, Light, and Sound. It takes a lot of
                                   energy to run the Earth. Students will learn how we are affected
                                   by heat, light, and sound.
 
 
Week 2C:   Heat/Light/Sound Computer Based Camp (3rd-5th grades only)-
                     June 15-19
                                   Energy All Around Us: Heat, Light, and Sound. It takes a lot of
                                   energy to run the Earth. Students will learn how we are affected
                                   by heat, light, and sound.
 
                                   Microsoft Office & the concepts of Science: Heat/Light/Sound Welcome
                                   students in grades 6-8!
 
                                   Do you ever wonder how Heat/Light & Sound work? Did you know
                                   that your cell phone uses all three of these concepts? This class
                                   will provide you the opportunity to engage in self-discovery and hands
                                   on learning by navigating through different web quests. We will integrate
                                   skills and knowledge with multiple Microsoft Office Programs and you will
                                   be able to learn some of the tricks of Microsoft Publisher, Word, and Excel
                                   to create and publish documents to demonstrate what you have learned.
                                  We will blend Science and Technology to emphasize a variety of skills for
                                  you to learn and use across all content areas.
 
 
Week 3:   Chemical Reactions    - 
                   June 22-26
                                   It's Reactive! Learn the changes that occur when substance
                                   chemically react.
 
 
Week 4:   Natural Disasters  - 
                   July 6-10
                             Tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis! Learn how and why these
                             phenomena occur on Earth.
 

 

 

Camp will be closed the week of

June 29 - July 3, for the

4th of July Holiday.

 

Meals & Snacks

Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided for your camper at no charge. Breakfast is only available from 7:30 am to 8:00 am. If your camper cannot be dropped off in time to eat breakfast at camp, please ensure they eat at home, prior to arriving at camp.

Meals will be served buffet style and there will be staff available to help younger campers. Snacks will be provided throughout the day. Be sure to talk to staff prior to drop-off and make notes on the Health & Medical Form of any food allergies or dietary restrictions your camper may have.
