Juan Carlos Guzmán
Associate Professor

Juan Carlos Guzmán is an Associate Professor of Finance in the Business Administration Department. He holds two Master's and a PhD in computer science from Yale University. He also holds a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering and a Specialization in Business Management from Universidad Simón Bolívar (Caracas, Venezuela). In addition, He holds a Master's in Quantitative and Computational Finance from Georgia Institute of Technology. Guzmán has been teaching for 16 years, 10 of them at SPSU. He has also consulted in the areas of computer Science, IT and finance. He was a Governor's Teaching Fellow. He is a Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and a level I candidate in the CFA program. He is interested in computational aspects of finance, including computational statistics, data mining and modeling.
