SPSU Band

Our organization is the only performance oriented group on campus. We perform for campus functions and within the community throughout the school year. Students may or may not register for the one credit class. Band is scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5:30. Most of the members are not registered and students are permitted to attend whenever their class schedule permits. 

Musicians, even those whom have not played in several years, are encouraged to perform with us. On average, most of the students that are performing today have not played for five years! Dust off your instruments and warm up those chops! Our philosophy is to maintain an educational an ENJOYABLE environment! If you would like to perform with us but have a schedule conflict, please call Beth Farber to discuss possibilities.

Students, staff, faculty and community members are encouraged to perform with us! We require well-represented instrumentation and vocalists. Our ‘instrument library’ permits those students whom do not own their own instrument to borrow one.
