| Advising |
Because you are a Joint Enrollment student, Southern Polytechnic (SPSU) is very concerned about your continued success in your high school and college careers. We wish to do everything possible to enable you to take the courses you want AND need. Our primary concern is that your choice of courses earns you the credits you need to graduate on time from high school while still getting the most out of your college experience at SPSU. Therefore, we want to encourage and make available to you an advising process that will ensure your success and eliminate problems. To accomplish our goal of ensuring your academic and career needs are met, we want you to do the following: 1. Work closely with your high school counselor and ensure that your counselor approves your choices of college courses. It is vital that you communicate with your counselor since your counselor is the one who makes sure you meet high school graduation requirements. SPSU will seek coordination and concurrence from your high school counselor for any program you wish to pursue here at SPSU. 2. Work with the Joint
Enrollment Advisor in The ATTIC. The Joint
Enrollment Advisor is here to help you choose your courses and
register.
Prior to registration for each term, you should contact the Joint
Enrollment
Advisor, discuss your course requirements, and set up a time for
registration.
If you need assistance or run into registration problems, contact the
Joint
Enrollment Advisor (678-915-7903; jlindsay@spsu.edu). |
