Admissions Requirements:
Non-native speakers
of English
transferring to SPSU from institutions of higher education where
English
is not the language of instruction and who have less than 30 semester
hours
of college credit may be exempt from SAT requirements but must take the
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and the CPE (College
Placement
Exam). Students must score
550 (minimum) on the paper TOEFL or
213 (minimum) on the computer TOEFL and
75 (minimum) on all areas of the CPE
Non-native
speakers transferring
to SPSU from institutions where English was not the language of
instruction
and who have at least 30 hours of college credit must take the TOEFL
and
score
550 (minimum) on the paper TOEFL or
213 (minimum) on the computer TOEFL

Meet visa requirements: For a student visa (F-1 or J-1),
complete
a Financial Affidavit showing ability to meet financial obligations of
tuition, fees, and living expenses (letters of financial support must
be
current--less than one year old--and must accompany the Financial
Affidavit).
Financial Affidavit forms may be obtained from the SPSU Admissions
office.

Obtain an acceptance letter

Medical
insurance: SPSU requires international students on F-1 and J-1
visas
to purchase the endorsed SPSU International Student Insurance policy.
Payment
of this fee is mandatory and should be paid directly to the Office of
Business
and Finance along with payment of tuition and miscellaneous fees.
Purchase
of this insurance policy is mandatory each semester.
