ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

Admissions Requirements:
 

  •   TOEFL Requirements:
Non-native speakers of English transferring to SPSU from institutions of higher education where English is not the language of instruction and who have less than 30 semester hours of college credit may be exempt from SAT requirements but must take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and the CPE (College Placement Exam). Students must score

                550 (minimum) on the paper TOEFL or
                213 (minimum) on the computer TOEFL and
                75 (minimum) on all areas of the CPE
 

Non-native speakers transferring to SPSU from institutions where English was not the langauge of instruction  and who have at least 30 hours of college credit must take the TOEFL and score

                213 (minimum) on the computer TOEFL

  •     Meet  regular SPSU Admissions requirements
  •     Meet visa requirements:  For a student visa (F-1 or J-1), complete a Financial Affidavit showing ability to meet financial obligations of tuition, fees, and living expenses (letters of financial support must be current--less than one year old--and must accompany the Financial Affidavit. Financial Affidavit forms may be obtained from the SPSU Admissions office.
  •     Obtain an acceptance letter
  •     Obtain an I-20
