  1. Elections were held for the 2002-2003 academic year, with the following results: Rich Bennett, Moderator; Steve Edwards, Secretary; Bernice Nuhfer-Halten, Tom Wiseman, Planning Committee (Math and PCB Planning Committee membership will not change); Carol Barnum and Joel Fowler, Nominating Committee.

  2. Dean's Comments
    • The budget is winding down by the end of the month.
    • The Acting Dean's salary recommendations are finished. Evaluations were connected to a numerical score, with percentage weights as follows:

    • The average recommended raise will be 3.25%, with a high of 4% and a low of 2.7%.
    • The A&S computer Technician position, funded by Tech Fee money, was funded at only the 50% level for next year.
    • Working documents will be used for promotion and tenure next year as the P&Ps are not finished.
    • Both the Biology degree and the International Studies degree have been approved and will begin in the Fall.
    • LaJuana Cochrane will be Program Head for SIS beginning Fall 2002.
