  Minutes of the Nov. 8, 2001 Meeting:
The meeting was called to order at 12:03 by Moderator Rich Bennett.

  1. The minutes of the A&S Meeting of 9-25-01 were approved.
  2. The By Laws Committee proposal for a Nominations and Elections Committee was approved as amended.
  3. Dawn Ramsey introduced Joyce Brown of the Grant Development Center, who gave a presentation.
  4. The By Laws Committee proposal for a Program Review and Student Status Committee was tabled.
  5. Mark Stevens led a discussion on the Ad Hoc Committee's Tenure and Promotion P&P proposal.
  6. Dean's comments:
    • The International Studies Global Technology degree is on the Board of Regents agenda for next week.
    • The Biology degree is almost ready to be submitted to the Board of Regents.
    • An architect has been hired for the renovation of the second floor of Building E.
    • The TCOM position advertisement has seen print.
    • The SPSU Foundation will be visiting programs soon.
    • The Charitable Giving campaign will soon begin.
