  1. Acting Dean Gabrielli commented on the Observation Committee. The charge to the faculty includes:
    • Timetables for the observation of various faculty
    • Who observes whom
    • Instrument(s) to be used in evaluation of faculty
    Volunteers for the committee are Tom Rotnem, David Dayton, Bill Burnett, Nancy Reichert, and Barry Flannery

  2. It was decided unanimously that no substantive changes need be made to the A&S mission statement.

  3. Dean's comments:
    • The International Studies degree has been approved by the BOR.
    • The Biology proposal will not be considered until the March BOR meeting because of a request for more information.
    • Faculty searches are in progress for Composition, Physics, and Math.
