| This program is a four-part series on consecutive Thursday's designed for anyone interested in an in depth discussion and analysis of Latin America. Topics to be covered include: politics, economics, social issues, and U.S. interests. The program will be based around the Southern Center's education materials "Latin America in Transition." The registration fee includes a copy of the Latin America videotape, selections from the essays in our "Latin America in Transition" book for background reading, and recent updates on the region. The full book "Latin America in Transition" will be available to participants at the reduced price of $50.
Each session will have a 30-minute presentation by an expert followed by an open discussion. The speakers and topics are as follows: |
