HereÕs a summary of the process for AY08.

1. Submit the following to your department chair by the date he/she specifies:

            (a) copy of the approved Faculty Expectations Form for the current year (this is the form you agreed to in last SpringÕs evaluation)

            (b) the Annual Activity Report for the period being evaluated (March 2007 Ð Feb 2008), this may include a narrative in support of any of the four areas of performance. Please elaborate on any items you think are noteworthy.  For example, if you served on a committee that met every week for a semester, indicate as such.

            (c) Student Evaluations for the period being evaluated. Submit copies of your SIRS (not summarized scores). If you are submitting evaluations other than SIRS, submit a summary of the scores plus copies of all student comments.

            (d) The Teaching Assessment Form has been made redundant by the FCAR (or similar departmental instrument). This form is no longer required.

            (e) an initial draft of the Faculty Expectations Form for the upcoming year, include specific program-related expectations, such as lab or course coordination responsibilities.  Do not include your scholarship or professional growth plans here.

2. Department chairs will review the materials and schedule individual meetings with each department member to discuss the evaluation and to finalize the Expectations form for the upcoming year
