1. Faculty/Staff Campaign:
Pat Garrett thanked the deans for their support, financial and otherwise, and indicated the Advancement Office had made great progress. Garrett hopes to attain 100% participation from the faculty/staff campaign. She noted that outside contributors often want to know the level of internal SPSU support, so faculty/staff participation is essential.
 
2. Workload Issues:
Fowler spoke about the need to clarify the focus of the Workload Committee at this stage. After much discussion, it was decided that the next step would be to determine an appropriate lab conversion factor and then to continue the discussion at the next meeting of the Deans Council, before calling the Workload Committee together again.
 
3. Distance Learning:
Ramsey spoke on many issues related to distance learning. The discussion that followed focused on topics such as the future of distance learning at SPSU, the current usage of the GSAMS rooms, and the most appropriate use of this year's DL funds. Discussion will continue.
