Planning Task Force
January 7,
2008
1. Academic Affairs Outcomes handout distributed
—goals approved by the Deans
—the academic plan should “resonate” with these goals
2. Working Group Reports
A. Goal 4: Student, Community Needs (Hans Reichgelt): group has a draft (action Items list w/ strategies); need desired format for final draft
B. Goal 3: Funding (Bill Barnes): draft completed and submitted
C. Goal
2:
D. Goal 1: Quality Instruction (Jeff Ray): some work done, working group needs to meet again
3. Discussion on how to translate the working group documents into an Academic Plan document resulted in the following consensus: the four components, each including goals, strategies/action items, rationale, assessment measures, and performance criteria will reside on the web—in SPOL if possible. Zvi will develop the template; Deans (working group chairs) will enter the information; all ATPF members will review the material; Dave Caudill and Julie Newell will do any necessary “knitting together” of the four documents.
4. SPOL—Strategic Planning On-Line

—password: EITHER your user ID OR 12345 (see which one works!)
—will be used for entering all planning, strategy, etc.
—training forthcoming, as is “FCAR” component
